The SADC offers three membership categories: individual, business and partner.

Individual member

Any individual 18 years or above residing or working within the Coaticook MRC can become an individual member of the SADC.

Individual members enjoy all basic rights, including the right to attend and vote in meetings of members. They are also entitled to receive documentation specifically addressed to them, and can be elected to the Board of Directors.

CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

  • Any individual who meets the admission conditions below and supports the aims of the SADC can be an individual member;
  • Any individual who is the shareholder or owner of a client business cannot or can no longer be an individual member; the said person can then be the delegate of a business member;
  • No individual member who is an employee of an SADC business client may, if elected as a director, sit on the Investment Committee;

Business member

This category includes any for-profit or market-oriented social economy enterprise, whether or not an SADC client.

Each business member must have a place of business on the territory of the Coaticook MRC.

Each business member must appoint one or more delegates to the SADC to exercise the rights and privileges of the said member, which delegate must be accepted by the Board of the SADC

CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

  • Any for-profit enterprise or market-oriented social economy enterprise, whether or not a client, that meets the admission conditions and supports the aims of the SADC, can become a business member;
  • Each business member must have a place of business on the territory of the SADC and must be incorporated or registered;
  • Each business member must appoint one or more delegates to the SADC to exercise the rights and privileges of the said member, which delegate must be accepted by the Board of the SADC;
  • Any business client of the SADC automatically becomes a business member upon completing the required form.

Partner member

The partner member category is open to any non-profit legal entity or municipality on the territory.

Each partner member must appoint a delegate to the SADC to exercise the rights and privileges of the said member, which delegate must be accepted by the Board of the SADC.
