The history of the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) de la région de Coaticook is, first and foremost, the story of the people who live here.
It is a private, nonprofit organization incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act—Part II.
Established in the Coaticook region since 1994, the SADC and its predecessors, the Centre d’aide au développement des collectivités (CADC) and the Centre d’aide aux entreprises (CAE), have made an extraordinary contribution to the growth and well-being of our community.
In fact, these organizations have administered the Community Development Program (CDP), which, since its creation in 1985, has given communities and their representatives the decision-making autonomy necessary for the socioeconomic development of their communities.
Always active in the region and thanks to the remarkable dedication of its staff and volunteers who have served on its various boards of directors, the SADC de la région de Coaticook has remained focused on its mission by helping to foster an environment conducive to creating and sustaining jobs in the region. Attentive to the community’s needs, it continues to offer personalized technical assistance and financial support to businesses, while supporting the community through the implementation of various projects and numerous initiatives.
