Coaticook, March 26, 2026 – Tonight marked the 28th local Défi OSEntreprendre Gala in the MRC of Coaticook, presented by the Caisse Desjardins des Verts-Sommets de l’Estrie and organized in partnership with the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité (SADC) of the Coaticook region and the MRC of Coaticook. The gala, held as a festive happy hour, showcased inspiring businesses that are bold and daring.
During the event, five awards totaling $3,100 in prize money were presented to the winners, along with several other prizes, including increased visibility. These inspiring individuals stood out among all the nominees (see attached list). The winning companies and those nominated in the Réussite Inc. category will proceed directly to the Eastern Townships Gala, taking place later this spring.
A winning partnership
If the Défi OSEntreprendre has become an essential tool for fostering entrepreneurship in the community, it is thanks to the close collaboration between local economic development stakeholders, namely the MRC and the SADC. Although the Défi is led by these organizations, it is important to highlight the significant contribution of the Caisse Desjardins des Verts-Sommets de l’Estrie. About the Défi OSEntreprendre
The main initiative of OSEntreprendre, the Défi OSEntreprendre, is a major Quebec-wide movement that annually showcases the entrepreneurial initiatives of tens of thousands of people. It is implemented and takes root at the local, regional, and national levels thanks to more than 300 local coordinators across Quebec’s 17 regions, who work to highlight projects originating from their communities.
